Fantastic and lively Rhythm & Blues, on my opinion perfect to start a new day. A standard in full by Duke Ellington.

  • no pretentions... no douchebaggerry, just pure fun and solid playing!

  • @IETCHX

You're very right. No pretensions... No feeling... No...thing! Obviously this is not my instrument, and my other 56 videos proof it.... Thanks a lot for watching and commenting especially this one!

  • oh my!!! electric?? no way!!! I can't believe my eyes. This is clearly not you. It's your brother...lol

  • I don't know why I have not deleted this one... It is like watching Placido Domingo singing rock&roll (a mix of funny and compassionate feeling...). "Don't give up your day job" I'd say...

  • Thanks a lot for watching! Ellington is one of the greatest, I agree. However I think his music is well known (though people perhaps know the tunes and doesn't know the composer) and he is recognized as one of the best in jazz. You know: there is an age in which you reject everything that sounds old, but later you start recognizing the quality, and to appreciate for example this kind of music. In few words: quality is always fashionable!

  • I like that first part, its twangy but classy at the same time. Its too bad nobody recognizes the good old jazz anymore. Ellington is a genius

  • You're right. Two o'clock A.M. ! Believe me, you wouldn't ;-) You mentioned in other comment that you played guitar. Come on, man, we'd like to see you in action! Thanks a lot for commenting so positively!
