Here's a scene from the 1969 British film "The Reckoning", in which The Spectrum can be seen backing Patricia Gratton on a version of "I Can't Hear You No More". Yes, this is the same 'Spectrum' who had released a number of 45s on RCA and also recorded a version of the Captain Scarlet theme song! I don't know much about Gratton, although it looks like she sang with an Irish showband called The Hilton under the name Patricia O'Kelly. As far as I can tell, this song was never released and can only be found in the movie itself (which is long out of print).

  • Thanks for posting this. Classic clip from one of my fave films. Was the song ever released?

  • @SDP1677 I don't think the song has ever been released. There was no soundtrack album for this film as far as I know.

  • love your music, patricia ,always knew you were a star ,and still are..from danny .....

  • Any chance you might upload the whole film.?It's impossible to find.

  • Thanks for the reply... I'm 99% sure there was no soundtrack as well. Great song, though. I was hoping it might have appeared on some obscure 7" at the time.

  • A classic clip from a classic movie - a very under-rated movie from the 1960's with superb acting from Nicol Williamson.

  • A great clip Patricia i real gem
