  • christ...i've never been so jealous...i'm living where it just snowed 2 and half feet...ugh!! I hate winter!

  • ive been right where you are on that beach. i was unable to walk to the water. i got stuck in the sand about 10 ft from the waters edge. im a follower of dan the man too. somehow i will make it back to that beach next year and feel the water on my feet. peace~~

  • You got to be right about that water. The waves are just randomly coming in and out, especially when the tide is just right at that point of the day where the sun just touches the horizon. It's a sight to see, but on the east coast, one would be just starting their day right when they see that.

  • @youfouledup I guess it was,der.....

  • Ian's coordinates were approximately 34°00'20"N, 118°29'42"W and that does indeed appear to have been the Santa Monica pier to his right. The water temperature is about 58 °F this time of year with the air temperature being about the same at sunset.

  • @youfouledup Yeah it was.

  • Beautiful! I watched it come up last week...and I saw sage green under orange and purple clouds...it was amazing!!!

  • I love sunsets, especially at the end when the llok at the light at the sun is just a big red disk, it's easy to see how we're a part of a solar system when you see it

  • @IanCrossland

    I heard it once this:

A Red Dawn in the Morning; Is a Sailor's Warning!

A Red Sunset is at Twilight, Is a Sailor's Delight!
