This car will get a legitimate 48 to 60mpg depending on how it's driven. It's rated at 42mpg hwy but will do much better than that in actuality. I bought one for my grandma today! They're more unique than a Prius, more fun to drive, will get better gas mileage in reality, and you don't see them at every street light and stop sign. Plus...you can shift using paddles behind the wheel! It's like a little eco Ferrari... :) jk. It does make attempting to get max mpg a bit more fun though :D

Good review in that you compaire not only pure mpg but everything else. The prius is good but its an old persons car, bland, dull drive and no ipod interface. the insight is sleek good looking, hanndles better and has usb. All that for $4000 less. Insight wins in my opinion.
