@MetsRule9999 - The Phils have outdone the Mets every year since 2001, with the exception of '06. Where are the 3rd-place Mets on 9/11/2011?  24.5 games back, setting up tee times for October. Where are the Phils? Oh, that's right, holding a magic number of 7 as they roar to their 5th straight NL East title with the best record in franchise history and the best starting rotation in all of MLB history (since 1876!). They are also 8 games up on the Damn Yankees as I write.

@CF40 - I don't know if you're familiar with the late, great Harry Kalas (1936-2009). Harry was the voice of NFL Films as well as the Baseball Hall of Fame broadcaster for the Phils along with his best friend, Richie Ashburn, who retired from the '62 Mets as that team's MVP (yes, he is the one I honor with my screen name). Kalas, who grew up in IL, worked in IA, HI and TX along the way, called Philly sports fans the best, the most-passionate and most-informed he had ever come across.

@metsfan5734 - Mr. Met looks like the Cincinnati Reds mascot's great-grandson. (The Reds have a similar mascot which looks like it belongs in the 1890s)

@7475flyersfan funny how you skip right over the world series when we beat you, the name howard does ring a bell, if i remember correctly, he had about 9 consecutive strikeouts against the yankees in the world series, and how did the phils favor last year? dont think u made a world series either, dont know what that comment had to do with
