  • I live in Blue Earth! The Green Giant is so not that exciting!Haha. When the guy says "Really close to .. South Dakota" that is so not true! Blue Earth is about 10 miles away from northern Iowa! I work at Dairy Queen and if nsiler1066 would have moved the camera to the left a tad bit to the left you would have seen it. I look out the drive through window and and see people looking at that thing.. it cracks me up.

  • @MmarieOful I remember seeing the Dairy Queen. We were on our way to South Dakota and we only had two hours to go, so it felt close. We had been driving for two days at that point so 120 miles felt really close. We had no idea that a Jolly Green Giant Statue existed anywhere, so we were quite surprised when we saw it.

Thanks for your post. I am sure seeing peoples surprised reactions to something that you see everyday is quite entertaining.

  • Green Giant. Ho ho ho! When I was a lot younger I dreamed of green people. Cute giant. Green giant and Hulk have something in common.

  • Jolly Green Gian!

Jim The Love of my Life.

Everytime i hear or this comes up I always automatically think of him!

Where ever he might be I always hope God is on his side or always looking over him!

  • I was a "Little Green Sprout" for the Green Giant Co. in Southeastern Washington (yes, there were such small people who squeezed peas to see if they were ready for harvest . . .the machine was called a "tenderometer") . . .at any rate just may have to visit Blue Earth someday . . .j4con
