The sire of my Walker Mare is named Turbo, so I just have to fall in love with this horse! Such wonderful action! They really don't make em like this anymore!
-
"Ow! I got hit!"
Gotta watch those hoof cookies!

my TWH can do speed racking but he isnt that fast, my mom's walker has to run, not canter to keep up with him
i dont allow him to break a gait though, if he canters then he has to be brought back to a gait cause i dont want him to think he can get away with cantering

I was just up at Ft. Mt. camping and my friends and I went to the horse show last night. We saw this guy riding Jake and took first place. I never saw a horse rack so fast in my life!!!

just be on the look out. most standardbreds do it, but u have 2 experiment with the shoein

@IloveMrMaxi And I find it hilarious that you chase a pony on a leadline over a jump with a lunge whip. XD

nice horse but did he have bell boots on? he has some good speed for a walking horse where was this at nice spot

No, no bell boots, trotting quarter boots like Saddlebreds wear. This was at Midway Saddle Club just outside of Cumming, GA.

why? a true racking horse should never have to have these where we show they will not allow any type of boot on a rackng horse

It is a protective type boot that doesn't flop. It stays still. He has been known to hit himself on rare occasion when he gets fast. He normally doesn't wear them but we don't normally show him in speed and I was worried about him.
