I love this band and this song too but this performance is pretty lame. Cindy is rusty to say the least.

This clip is from a 2000 concert. And it's a surprisingly good perf of a tricky song. What are negative commentors hearing that I'm not? I'm quick to call out a crappy performance (even by bands I love), but this performance is good -- vocally and instrumentally. The faster live tempo makes that especially laudable. Cindy didn't sing on the recorded version, but makes fine contributions here, once she gets going. Kate is reliably wonderful. A joy to listen to.

my god, watching this....i've been going to see them for over 30 years now (I'm from Athens)...I remember them and R.E.M. starting off in Athens, and you just KNEW there was something special about both of them...you just knew it.
