because 4 out of 5 of us are. doesn't mean we're better or prefered. just more common, which really is what average means.

It just feels like it hasn't been given any thought. Like, it would be perfect if it said "this is an average straight man" or "this is me, an average man". It's not too much work, and it feels so much more sensitive. So, yeah I think it does mean straight guys are preferred, if only because they're completely done away with. Anyhow, small complaint, doesn't mean anything really.
