I was thinking the same thing--too similar to Grimm and that other show on ABC. What I really like is that despite all the fantasy elements, the police procedural part is pretty standard

I see why NBC passed on this - it's extremely similar to Grimm, except with better (ie, more expensive) actors, writers, producers, and effects. And there's no guarantee a show on NBC will find an audience, so they have to be cost conscious right now. That really blows though.
