Here's a great old song written by Ron A. Webster, a silversmith from Birmingham, England in 1971 for Roger Whittaker. Strangely, the song didn't hit the charts until 1975. I've played it so much in my time as a broadcaster, I finally made my own home recording of it, Karaoke style. (email: jneil7@sunbeach.net ).

  • Excellent job- Get your GPS unit out and set it for Nashville. If you ever find yourself performing in the Hartford Connecticut area contact me first. I will pay for my admission but I do need 2 backstage passes and one signed autograph. One comment- this would have been even better with a little more background music (40 piece orchestra).

  • Hi DoreenX! What a lovely thing to say! You're so nice. We can all do with encouragement from time to time. I would love to sing professionally. But perhaps it takes more than talent for singers to make it. God has to smile on them. Many thanks! Hugs, Jeff

  • Great song, very sensitive!
