@RhapsodosAStrigidae What makes you think this song is satire on the homeless? The cardboard throne lyric? Conn has already explained the song is about the dichotomy between his musical career and the rest of his life. How odd it was for him one day playing in a basement with a guy sucking on his toes (which happened at one of his shows) and the next being on a plane going back to his normal every day job. Bobby Conn wouldn't be Bobby Conn if he took himself seriously.

If he took the song seriously, it would be a good song; but because it is a satire about the homeless, it is just tasteless. The satire makes is a hipster bar act.

If Bobby Conn were a music industry suck-ass kowtowing to a shite big label, and somehow managed to get this one pushed past the hyperproducers unscathed, it would have been a major hit.

hmmm... to put it plain and simple: the man is a genius. and dont misunderstand me, im not posting this `cause i wanna provoke some wannabe-musicknowitall-faggot so we can start hurlin` shit at each other anonymously. i just really like bobby conn`s sick and twisted, but deliciously original music and point of view. thats all, thx!

I really get sick of all of the people on youtube that are somehow unable to understand creative satire and subtle sarcasm and begin to attack it. Bobby Conn is among the most diverse and creative satirical musicians still making music, and just because you don't take the time to understand it doesn't mean you have any reason to be a jerk to the people who apreiciate it.
