-The main page of BLACK SABBATH'sofficial web site has updated with the date 11.11.11 (November 11, 2011) below the band's classic logo. All four original members of the legendary heavy metal group — Ozzy Osbourne , Tony Iommi , Geezer Butler and Bill Ward — will attend a special announcement ceremony that day. Former BLACK FLAG frontman Henry Rollins will host the private event, which will be held at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, California — the same venue where the band made its Los Angeles debut on November 11, 1970 (41 years ago), opening for ALICE COOPER — at exactly 11:11 a.m. This has got to bit the official reunion announcement, hopefully they mention some new album details or tour info..stay tuned!
Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD have set "Resolution" as the title of their new album, due on January 24, 2012 via Epic Records (one day earlier internationally through Roadrunner). The CD was once again helmed by producer Josh Wilbur, who worked on the band's last effort, 2009's "Wrath".

"Resolution" will feature 14 songs and will come in a digipack with artwork by longtime art director Ken Adams.

There will be a special U.K. pre-order for a limited edition album bundle, containing a bonus 12-track live album, titled "Wrath - Tour 2009/2010", together with the"Resolution" digipack. Orders for the limited-edition package will be taken online only, strictly until December 25, from Play, Amazon and HMV.

Seattle progressive rockers QUEENSRŸCHE are rumored to be planning to perform their 1986 album,"Rage For Order", in its entirety again at an upcoming hometown show. More details will be made available soon.

-VAN HALEN is rumored to be making a "special live announcement" at theGrammy Nominations Concert Live in Los Angeles. The 54th annual Grammy Awards' nominations will be announced on Wednesday, November 30, at 10 p.m. live from Nokia Theatre L.A. Live., and will be broadcast by the CBS network.

-Drummer Daniel Svensson of Swedish metallers IN FLAMES will take part in an online chat via Yowie this coming Monday, November 7 at 2 p.m. PST / 10 p.m. CET. He will make a major announcement for IN FLAMES' North American fans as well as take questions from everyone.

"Box Up My Bones", a brand new song from US progressive metallers Cynic is now streaming online at this location.

"Box Up My Bones" comes off the band's upcoming new EP titled Carbon-Based Anatomy, which will see the light of day on November 11th in Europe (November 15th in North America).

GWAR frontman David "Oderus Urungus" Brockie has issued the following statement regarding the passing of guitarist CORY SMOOT (aka Flattus Maximus): "It is with a sense of profound loss and tragedy that the members of GWAR must announce the passing of their long time guitarist and beloved friend Cory Smoot, also known to thousands of metal fans worldwide as Flattus Maximus. Cory was found deceased this as the band prepared for a border crossing. There is no word as to the cause of death and the members of GWAR are completely shocked and devastated that this has occurred.
