Tribute to Thrudgelmir (SRW)

A little tribute to my favorite massive sword wielding super robot in SRW OG.

The song is "The Gate of Magus" by Aquastyle which is an awesome remix of the Thrudgelmir's theme or rather it's pilots' theme.

The video clips are all from Youtube so don't expect HD level quality.

@sniperclown - Wodan is a parallel world version of Sanger.

I'm kinda glad Wodan was in OG, even if it was an excuse to have the Alpha version of Sanger and the OG version at the same time. I'm not a huge fan of the Dygenguar to be honest, and was quite cut when Thrudgelmir wasn't able to be playable (even permanently in OGs). Thrudgelmir is probably the epitome of man made Super Robots in the series (my opinion, mileage may vary).

if I recall right, Sanger ACTUALLY uses the Thrudgelmir in Alpha Gaiden, you can recruit him with said mecha and he IS tanky as hell. a must have for latter stages

Does anyone know where I might find the manga specifically where Kaiser is crippled because of Thrudgelmir's headbutt or even the title? Cause i have been lookin high and low and still not found it

@screwtokaiba Nah because before the world, no the universe explodes, TROMBE! shows up and gives Shin Getter, Mazinkaiser, and Great Mazinkaiser such a thrashing that they never do fight again.

@bitrel07 Unless the one entering the swordfight is some combination of Shin Getter, Mazinkaiser, and Great Mazinger put into one. But by the time that kind of moster existed, the world has exploded out of sheer manliness anyway

@screwtokaiba Sanger is one of the best pilots ever and the units that he piloted are only a dew of the most broken mechs of unrivaled power. Just don't enter a sword fight against him and you should be fine, I realized that after Kasuha took in 10 pts of damage due to Invincible while in the Grungust Unit 2. Woden did a critical and I just visualized how much damage that would've done to her without Invincible active.

@screwtokaiba Don't get Sanger's actual skill as making him swordless as a weakness for him. If all of Sanger's attacks had 100% accuracy, it wouldn't matter if his power was at maximum, he would still destroy anything that would challenge him. Given that his event battles as Sanger or as Woden deal almost 100% damage which destroys the opponent.

@bitrel07 In other hand, considering that Mazinkaiser is self sentient, losing the pilot doesnt mean Kaiser cant do **** though, but the fact that Sanger is potrayed as overpowered enemy that nearly destroyed the best and most broken unit in the game make Sanger all that awesome

@bitrel07 In the manga, During the first place of assault on Earth Cradle, Sanger, yes SANGER use Hoshinagi no Tachi to cripple the Alpha numbers, but fortunately stopped by Combattler helped by Koji Kaiser with his own sword. Then Heero Destroyed the Zankantou, and after Kaiser one on one Thrud, Thrud headbutt Kaiser and cracked Kaiser's Head, and destroyed half of the Pilder essentialy crippling Kaiser.

The fact that Kaiser is an uber god of death made of hax and bs in that game doesnt help.

@screwtokaiba EEEEEEP!!! Isn't the Mazinkaiser supposed to be one of the strongest Super-class Robots? Are you telling me that Sanger/Woden in Thrudgelmir almost destroyed it in one hit?!
