To me The Graveyard Book is in many ways and has now become the quintessential coming of age story. It obviously borrows a lot from the Jungle Book but what really brings it to life, as well as how finely crafted the novel is, is its central concept. Which is 'the ghost'. And it's a beautiful metaphor, because what better way is there to describe humanity than people trying not to be ghosts, trying lead a life where they are very much alive. Only till they die.
Gaiman's best book imo.

You should definitely read American Gods and Good Omens. He is honestly one of my favorite authors.

I loved the Graveyard Book, but I think I'd be hard pressed to find something written even partially by Neil Gaimain.
I also really liked the drawings.
Even though it is a middle grade book and I should be reading more advanced things, I still really enjoyed it.

Wow, you're twenty three? I thought you were seventeen, or something! :)

Yes, I liked this book so much! The pictures added to the creepiness. I also liked all the ghost powers Bod had. Coraline is also great!

I loved this book. And like everyone else I loved Neverwhere, American Gods, and Anansi Boys. I'm surprised there's not more love for quite possibly the best book ever written... ever. GOOD OMENS! Gaiman wrote it along with Terry Pratchett. Basically combine Pratchett's humor with Gaiman's imagination and, like I said, you have the best book ever written... ever.

I loved The Graveyard Book, one of my favourites. I prefer Neverwhere though. Anansi Boys is great too! :)
I read it. It was alright. The Graveyard Book was readable. The rest of Gaiman I don't like at all. I don't like whatever it is he does, particularly in American Gods.

@waterwixxxer I haven't read enough of his books to say much on his books, but we'll never like everything we read!
