Nestled in Bryce Canyon National Park, historic Bryce Canyon Lodge offers a rustic 1920s elegance; a quiet and relaxed atmosphere where guest can get reacquainted with nature. This beautiful "in-park" lodge opened its doors in 1925 and is a National Historic Landmark. It was designed by architect Stanley Gilbert Underwood, who also designed Grand Canyon Lodge, Zion Lodge and The Ahwahnee in Yosemite. Underwood's use of natural building materials, combined with his unique flair for rustic design, was ideally suited to the emerging NPS attitude about architecture in the national parks.
