Are the electric arcs fromthe third rail real (if so a lot of current draw)? or are they just LEDs ?

@Trifu22 Yes, they are white LEDs driven by a circuit ripped out of a LED flickering candle. There is a magnetic reed switch embedded in the track which closes when a magnet mounted on the underside of the train bogie passes over it. If I run the train slowly over it, the led will come on for a second or so and appear to flicker. I have built in more LEDs on the points and should be uploading more video to demonstrate this soon.

@CONCORDE444 I think all told around $400 for a six car unit. I put a lot of time into it and added digital train control also. Check out Metromodels in London for prices.
