@igorkolenac Ok, so make a video were from the idle rpm (around 900 rpm) the counter go up to 8500rpm (of course do it with engine HOT :D
-
belive me,that counter is not uncalibrated. I will make a new video, and you will see.

By the way, keep your BX in good conditions: it's a wonderful car, unic and will pass in history. My father had two 1.4RE and one 1.6break. A friend of mine had a Turbodiesel one. It's a saloon car, very nice and confortable. and in Italy there's no BX anymore and I'm sad for this. Take care of your 1.6 TZS, you are driving a piece of history! :D Ciao from Bologna, Italy

@igorkolenac Come on, Igor, during the first three seconds of the video the engine is in idle range (minimum), under 900 rpm (can listen it), but the rpm counter indicates 1750rpm. I've worked on engines testing bench for over 7 years and I owned 4 Citroen cars in past. I can listen one engine... Your counter is about 1000 rpm uncalibrated!
-
it is not wrong!! listen rpm of engine
-
RPM COUNTER IS WRONG... Idle rpm indicated is on 1750 rpm INSTEAD OF 850-900RPM
-
@igorkolenac sow you just step on the gas end he makes 8500tpm? a very fresh engine!!
It's a broken RPM counter. Note that it shows ~1700rpm, when the engine sounds like ~960 (normal).
