Thank you for elaborating on theory and explaining "WHY" and not just "how." Dissecting the chords note-by-note really helps everything make sense.

@csm23232 It's all about rhythm.. Try this and see if it helps. Find a note or chord of the song that you're playing. Memorize what word falls into that chord. For ex. John Mayers , "Daughter" ... (Bm7add4) I know a girl(Em7) .. Those are the chords and what word comes after the chord.. Basically , you have to find the rhythm. Hope that helps.
