  • WOW, but still Diesel get you bang for the buck in older models

if only GM would bring the Chevy C2 and Chevy Tornado from Mexico to USDM for the Fuel Crisis but that will never happen

  • i still think diesel is the wave of the future with respect to biodiesel. This is of course if hydrogen technology is a bust.

  • Urea is an exhaust after treatment, it's not mixed with the fuel. And it's Tier 2 BIN 5, not the other way around. I feel that GM should have checked the facts of this video before posting it. And, all of the production diesels that are coming out are to be made for all 50 states.

  • Vegetable oil - the solution to all diesel emissions problems. It's not news.

  • Anything to keep his OPEC money coming in. If all of these increased standards are "coming up", why haven't you done many more great diesels in the past? Where are your electric/ hybrids? Diesel/hybrids? Pure electrics? The re-release of the EV1 (which had 132 mile range), instead of excuses on getting the Volt to only 40mile range. How come the stock Vette gets 28mpg with a 400hp V8, but chevy isn't even in the top 10 for efficient cars in the world? GM deserves to fail. You suck BOB.

  • Manufacturers have added technology to intakes (turbos, high pressure common rails), the burn process (lowered compression ratios), and exhaust (catalytic converters, particle filters) but nothing has been done about the fuel itself except reduce sulphur content. Every diesel Mercedes comes out the factory with biodiesel. Rupolf Diesel intended his engine to run on peanut oil, but the low cost of waste material from petroleum production caused the market to move towards what we call diesel fuel.

  • I love these videos. PLEASE MAKE MORE >:|

  • "Just trust me, there's no future in diesel... blah, blah, blah." Talk about conspiracies -- it's kind of like Jeep making a diesel 4-door Wrangler and shipping it to Europe, but telling US consumers that they're not available.

  • Chill Bob, new technology on the way from Australia that doesn't need UREA injection or any add ons.( Greendieselcorp )30% more power, 30% less fuel ( diesel ) and almost zero emissions. US Military testing the technology now on hummers. Mainstream by end of 2008.

  • Thanks for the great answer. I'd love to see GM spend more on hybrids. Please speed up the Volt development. 75% of commuters drive 30 miles or less to and from work.
