Yet another reason not to trust the puppet masters..
Health risks of aluminum have been known for over a 100 years, yet we coincidentally find aluminum added and/or concentrated in so many things we consume, wear, and use daily, such as commercially made bread products, american cheese, tap water, filtered water (activated alumina, reverse osmosis), medicines (pill buffers, nasal sprays, *vaccines*), clothing, personal and *baby care* products such as shampoos, deoderants, toothpaste, makeup and unfortunately plenty more too. Just how bad is aluminum for you according to the experts? What you don't know can kill you..
200 ppb (or 0.2 mg/L) is a standard for the maximum level of aluminum preferably allowed in most drinking water, but these average upper levels nearly double a dose that is a risk factor of dementia & Alzheimer's disease! That is only the tip of the iceberg compared to the total dietary intake for a person too, for drinking water only accounts for 3% of average dietary exposure to aluminum!
"Aluminum and silica in drinking water and the risk of Alzheimer's disease or cognitive decline"
"..Using random-effects models, the authors found that cognitive decline with time was greater in subjects with a higher daily intake of aluminum from drinking water (greater or =0.1 mg/day, P=0.005).. Using a Cox model, a high daily intake of aluminum was significantly associated with increased risk of dementia."...

"Relation between Aluminum Concentrations in Drinking Water and Alzheimer's Disease: An 8-year Follow-up Study"
Oxford Journals / Medicine / American Journal of Epidemiology / Volume 152, Issue 1 Pp. 59-66
"In conclusion, our study suggests that a concentration of aluminum in drinking water above 0.1 mg/liter may be a risk factor of dementia and, especially, Alzheimer's disease."

"Although highly controversial, the hypothesis of a link between aluminum (Al) in drinking water and Alzheimer's disease (AD) has been supported by several epidemiological studies."...

Environmental & Workplace Health / Reports & Publications / Water Quality / Aluminum
"Assuming a daily contribution (from food, water, and air), an adult would take in about 8.26 mg of aluminum per day. In other words, approximately 97% of the normal daily intake for an adult is from food and the remainder is from drinking water; the contribution from ambient air is insignificant."

"Aluminum as a risk factor for Alzheimer's disease"
"The purpose of the study was to condense existing scientific evidence about the relation between aluminum (Al) exposure and risk for the development of Alzheimer's Disease (AD), evaluating its long-term effects on the population's health. A systematic literature review was carried out in two databases, MEDLINE and LILACS, between 1990 and 2005, using the uniterms: "Aluminum exposure and Alzheimer Disease" and "Aluminum and risk for Alzheimer Disease". After application of the Relevance Test, 34 studies were selected, among which 68% established a relation between Al and AD, 23.5% were inconclusive and 8.5% did not establish a relation between Al and AD. Results showed that Al is associated to several neurophysiologic processes that are responsible for the characteristic degeneration of AD."...

"Aluminium in drinking-water"
..."Following the observation that high levels of aluminium in dialysis fluid could cause a form of dementia in dialysis patients, a number of studies were carried out to determine if aluminium could cause dementia or cognitive impairment as a consequence of environmental exposure over long periods. Aluminium was identified, along with other elements, in the amyloid plaques that are one of the diagnostic lesions in the brain for Alzheimer disease, a common form of senile and pre-senile dementia."...
