  • @hahaha01357 The traditional theory, proposed in the 17th century by Martino Martini, is that "China" is derived from "Qin" (秦), the westernmost of the Chinese kingdoms during the Zhou Dynasty, or from the succeeding Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC).

  • @hahaha01357 quote: The word "China" is derived from Cin (چین), a Persian name for China popularized in Europe by the account of the 13th-century explorer Marco Polo.[25][26] The first recorded use in English dates from 1555.[27] The Persian word is, in turn, derived from the Sanskrit word Cīna (चीन),[28] which was used as a name for China as early as AD 150.[29] There are various scholarly theories regarding the origin of this word.

  • @TheAmazingPinoy kkk. fuck you too.

The long term benefits of exterminating the barbarians and holding the territory of the barbarians captive is in itself a percieved long term reward which in ancient times DID NOT out weight the cost of invasion.

Now, think about it - Siberia was worthless in ancient times, but now Siberia, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Manchuria are all the most valueable sources of minerals in the world.

Nobody really controlled Saudi Arabia's desert interior until they discovered oil...

  • @Phead128 hm. I think it has more to do with the cost of invasion than a lack of need. In simple economic terms, why invade some place if the cost of conquest is greater than perceived rewards?

  • @Piedude345 Thanks. It really makes my day to know there are people like yourself in this world. :)

  • @hahaha01357 YOU FAIL
