How are questions about whether a political candidate lusts in her heart and masturbates a totally normal question?

Yes, it is unreasonable. 15 years ago she quoted what Jesus Christ said, as a tangential reference to the then-current purity movement. It was a passing reference to the position of the Catholic Church.

But Piers Morgan asked if SHE lusts in her heart and mauturbates. That is outrageous.

And she has very publicly stated that TODAY she does not want to talk about the topic which she regrets talking about.

Piers Morgan kept asking her about sex, sex, sex. That is *NOT* in her book

The Bible says that we are to be ready to give an account of the hope that lives within us -- that Jesus Christ, being God, came to Earth to die for our sins, and that our sins are forgiven through the blood of Jesus. We must explain how people can be saved ONLY by Jesus' (God's) death on the cross.

Christine went on national TV to preach the gospel -- more than you have done.

No, that is your opinion. The Bible is clearly talking about being ready to explain the gospel of Jesus Christ, not talk about whether or not you masturbate on national TV.

The only explanation about abstinence is what did Jesus teach, not whether or not I personally masturbate or whether Christine ever lusted at someone.

"Always be preapred to give an answer" is about THE GOSPEL, not about your personal sex life. The Bible is saying you should explain salvation through Jesus Christ -- not talk about your private sex life.

Christine did not talk about her personal sex activities, but only quoted Jesus Christ. She put in the public arena the words of Jesus Christ.

No, Simon Cowell never asked his guests about masturbation, whether they masturbate, whether they lust in their heart, and about sex. I agree Morgan was infinitely worse than Simon Cowell.

The 30 minutes time allotted at CNN (which includes make-up, getting set up and wired in) had already expired. It was time to go.

She herself has gone on the record with very public statements about masturbation (it being evil or whatever), so it is not unreasonable for a interviewer to follow up on her public statements. She is wacked out if she thinks Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Michele Bachman all have the same opinions on gay marriage. But even if they did, it is irrelevant. The interviewer is asking for HER opinion. She was odd, saying she would only talk about the book but that these things were in the book.

The hope of he Gospel should effect all areas of our lives--especially our sexual element. I agree, she shouldn't answer personally, but it is probably part of her platform on abstinence--that needs an explanation. & Morgan has a reputation as a tough interviewer; perhaps she should not have ventured onto his show. It would have saved her added controversy. Even on "The View" she may have got asked tough questions.

I do want to add, I saw the MTV portion of "Sex in the 90s" & found a longer version of this interview with Morgan. "Always be prepared to give an answer to those who ask you for the reason for the hope inside of you", the New Testament says. Sex is part of a Christian's life. I agree with her stance on masturbation & abstience. But she put it in the public arena years before & will haunt her unless she answers directly & honestly. What she believes about social issues she has to communicate.
