lways referred to Frankie as her Old Man, they loved each other always but just could not live together amicably, when Ava died Frank locked himself in a room and stayed there for two days, rumour has it that a limousine with blacked out windows rolled up at Ava's funeral with Frank in it, sorry but it was one of Ava's lawyers, but what a beauty she was, I gave up my wife and kids for a lovely look-alike, we're still together 25 years later, not for her beauty but for her love for me.

thoserubyslippers, yes he certainly did, he regretted the way he treated her for the rest of his life, he's is still alive by the way, Artie Shaw the bandleader also, in later years , regretted his treatment of her during their marriage, he was a psuedo-intellectual who would chastise her if he caught her reading anything trivial like film magazines, it had to be something that either stimulated the brain or educated, well into old age he has expressed sorrow and regret.
