Again, spoilers!

Don't think anything different, this video is the same than Cecil's Return, just that here something unfortunate happens. In order to avoid this "unfornate event" from happen, you should have Cecil, Golbez, Rosa and Ceodore in your party, just like in Cecil's Return. The fifth character could be anyone, not only Kain.

  • if Ceodore and Rosa are in the Party then Golbez wouldn´t perish

  • @Yami6692 Thanks for commenting! Yes, as you can see in my Cecil's Return video, it's exactly as you say. There were three possibilites for this battle: To live, but sacrificing Golbez having in your party at least Cecil and Golbez; to die having only Golbez, only Cecil or none of the two; or to live saving everyone, including Golbez, having in your pary Cecil, Golbez, Rosa and Ceodore as you say. Thanks again for your comment!

  • are rydia and edge something in this game? or does edge still like her?

  • @nairbgolden2008 Oh, a one month old comment. Sorry, hadn't been around here for a while. Well, I think you must know the answer for your question already. Here it goes anyway: Edge stills like Rydia, but he doesn't demonstrate it as much as in the original FFIV, however, they have a suggesting Band about this, as you could see in my Rydia's Tale Bands video. Thanks for commenting!

  • According to the novel, this scene and outcome is in fact canon. Kinda heartbreaking in a way.

  • @SaphireDragon89 Really hearbreaking, what a shame that it is canon... oh, what to do? It's sad... However, thanks for commenting! Long time I hadn't been aroung here.

  • haha i just go to that part... and i good outcome is pretty amazing as well... this i still a pretty strong scene. haha 2d chars have never brought me this close to tear, especially since i just played FF4 and dissidia. Golbez is a great character, and deserves more =/

  • I love this too, but I prefer the brothers to be reunited again, fighting together against the new enemy... I know, I'm kind of melancholic with these things. Just like Rydia said: "No! They finally reunited, and now...!"

  • @Olmectron Not necessarily. Where there are conflicting sources, the game takes priority; since he CAN survive, and has important story scenes afterward (eg. the scene where he and Kain learn the Spiral Blow band), I'm inclined to say the survival path is the canonical one. If they wanted his death to be canon, then I doubt they'd go through the effort of programming such things into the game.

  • While this is a powerful scene I dont belive it to be cannon. Besides he would be the only one looking for those poor lunarians on the moon that is missing. I say they should make a Sequel. Final Fantasy IV the Final Years...the Zeromous Malice is in Control of FuSoYa, Ceodore and Ursula from a love bond, and this other thing I forgot that would sound really good.

  • @SaphireDragon89 wrong...actually,it is unknown if golbez's death is cannon

  • cant wait to play this on psp :D
