I wished for the book ending.. It would have been more of a twist and leave people stunned. The movie's ending was predictable.. Though not to an extent where I was 100% sure.

@StopForAMinuteNSmile The book's ending was made for shock value, it completely underscored the journey of the characters in the story. The movie fixed that, by giving every character a fullfilled story and closing the cycle of the story.

@MiCHAELJLYSSAPAC It wouldn't have had the same impact if it ended like the book. Although we all love a happy ending, her death made the movie deliver a beautiful message. We all take life for granted, she died knowing her mom was able to let go.

As soon as she mentions the summer and camp, I lose it. I sit there and tell myself, "DON'T YOU DARE CRY." and then Kate goes, "Remember that summer when I went to camp?" and I just bust into tears..
It's like Kate's cutting onions right on front of me on purpose \:

@Vega01 The book's ending was amazing. It was unexpected and emotional and sad. They both were, but the book's ending was so much deeper than this one. We all expected this - well, we didn't because we read the book and expected that ending. - but come on, this is expected. The book's ending had a much deeper meaning if you ask me.

Am I the only guy that cried more than 3 times in this movie? at least we all know that in the book itself, she didn't die, though it still seems to bring me down into tears
