the 13B engine needs to be rebuilt, if it giving you back fire at low rpms it means you apex seal are bad, because is not giving it the right compression to burn the fuel evenly if it was a high rpms is kind of normal without a hi perf or good cat-converter, plus for the sound of it it sounds like it needs a rebuilt.

@hansels13b13rnn14 blowing flames worn apex seals?my fc blows continuous flames at any revs after a thrashing..... dude do you know what a fucking rotary even is? my engine is a fresh 13b fullcut bridge port gt5533r 800cc twin wastegates/screamers and 1680 cc injectors and both rotors are 120/120/120 with 3mm seals and rx8 ecentric shaft s8 rotors,7 dowls custom intake with 3litre plenum chamber. and a megasquirt 2.2v and 3bar map and i'm on 590hp@wheels and i can run a 10.09 on street tyres

@hansels13b13rnn14 or it could mean he has a straight pipe which means he removed his catalytic converter and hes running rich...which most likely is the cause of the back fire
