This is NOT a video of knife fighting techniques. This is for the use of Inayan students to complement their Serrada training. Kadena De Mano translates to "chain of hand" and is a combination of empty-hand and knife/dagger techniques. It covers basic and advanced blocks (or counters), basic and advanced hand and knife drills as well as permuted locks from the basic/advanced drills. Lock/flow/trap practice drills are stressed as well as subject control through the use of Vital Points (Pressure Sensitive Nerves). This is a sample of the KDM "Basics" DVD in the series of Inayan Eskrima videos.

good movement n with a little comments as wildwhitedignity mention..but it just a demo...in real combat it depend on ``ones`` knowledge in self defence techniques...good work bro
I like it but it always looks like a lot of arm movement and not a lot of footwork, and like when he takes the knife to his arm pit it looks like the guys just letting him bend his arm i don't see it applied through any wrist/arm lock or footwork. any one with experience please tell me what i'm missing. I only have Aikido/Tai Chi experience.
Well, there is footwork: triangle footwork. And for some moves, just a couple of movements of the feet can set you up for the whole technique. I know, I study Inayan Eskrima. But concerning that knife technique, he could use a lock, but he doesn't necessarily need to because he's using the foe's natural joint movement to his advantage. in addition, he doesn't have to use footwork because he already used it to set himself up for the whole technique.
like bruce lee said, "liberate yourself from classical karate". nowadays, people should liberate themselves from the worship of jiu jitsu (of any sort), muay thai, etc.
