Looks like a bad case of road founder. Very sad, when he can no longer put his own weight on his feet they will shoot him. Don't pay these people to ride their carts. Express your thoughts of abuse to an animal in pain that is still being used for work!

@shaunmc3433 the right knee is the size of a baseball. There are major soundness issues going on. It's toes are too long, the hooves are in terrible shape. The horse is unwilling to straighten it's front legs. :( This poor poor horse:( how heartbreaking:(

If you cant see how what is wrong with this horse you obviously know nothing about them. I couldnt even watch the full video as it was so painfull to watch. I had to watch it fully later.
Visited Egypt in Oct 2010 and the plight of the working horses in Aswan has not changed.
All the horses were poorly treated, over-worked, emaciate and as a result of this, they suffered from open wounds from the constant rubbing of the carriage straps.
i have pictures to prove this.
Sadly, there is no regulation or controls in Aswan as compared to Luxor and therefore, this evil trade of carting tourist about carries on in Aswan.
DO NOT RIDE HORSE AND CARRIAGE AT ASWAN - EGYPT.

@Yasuka808 Thanks for the update. It is sad there has been no improvement in their working conditions.

I don't understand. To me it just looks like it's standing there. Am I missing something? Is it because it was left to stand for a long time? Is it because it looked like it was tied to a jeep? Did it not have any water? Why does this quaify as cruelty?

@shaunmc3433 The horse is lame that's why it cannot put it's right foot down and shifts from foot to foot. The lowered head is a clear indicator that it is in pain.
