This is the scene from the Mobile Suit Gundam movie where Amuro first pilots the RX-78 Gundam. The movies were released in America long before the TV series, so you won't be hearing Brad Swaile as Amuro in this dub.

  • It has Steven Blum. The voice of Tom from Toonami. Its an official dub, from an official company. The TV show wasn't Gundam 0079's first attempt in America.

So, for the last goddamn time, this is from the VHS movies. They had different voice actors back then.

  • this voice acting for this movie trilogy is a LOT better than the television series in the US! haha i'm glad i got to experience the movies before the television show. i loved everybody's voices--especially char's--more in the movies than the show.

  • Finally someone who isnt a hater.

  • @TauCommandX, wow your ignorance is truly outstanding. Mobile Suit Gundam is 31 years old. Its simply drawn the way everything was back then and besides you need to go rewatch speed racer (mach go go go) and reasses your statement becuase it's no whare near MSG's quality

  • Well, if you're familiar with Brad Swaile as him in MSG and CCA, he was voiced by Michael Lindsay for the movies...doesn't perform as well.

  • 3:12 = GIVE ME YOUR FACE

  • looks like speed racer a little

  • ummm,Amuro's voice is strange.

  • 2:27 the great beast rises that will change the face of the world for ever!

  • 1:23 You're a newtype, FIGURE IT OUT

  • Unlimited energy

i think i can handle it

  • The word fodder actually came from zaku.

  • This Amuro seems to have a lot more confidence than the TV version, at least when he first gets into the thing. Although I have to say, aiming for the "central control system" doesn't sound quite as interesting as hitting the cockpit.
