Jody shows you how to service a Mavic Hub. Remember there are some small parts in there so give us a call first if you have any questions.

  • Thx for the vid....I was looking for info about replacing the bearings. My 6-ish year old Crossmax SL's (Disk) bearings are starting to feel a little rough. Q.-does Excel have tool for pressing out bearings for sale or recommended sub

Q2-seal that goes between the freehub and the hub....1st time I took it off, I forgot orientation...I've yet to find good pic showing correctly, and so far none of the vids I have found show. Any help? I service every 3-6 months...me thinks this could be why?

  • @actennery We do have the tools to replace bearings, give us a call and ask for Jody, he is our head mechanic and will talk you through how the seal goes on.

  • You mentioned Loctite, you're not referring to thread locking compound are you?

  • @Kahuczech From the factory you will see a drop of loctite or thread locking compound on the axle. We just clean off that and replace it with a fresh drop.

  • Do anybody know of a video that shows how to change the bearings for Ksyrium elite wheels? Appreciate thanks

  • @Ynot1030 I don't know of a video for you, but feel free to give a call, our shop guys can let you know what goes into the install and removal process of bearings.

  • @enashs94 i have the same problem like yours the front wheelhub has a little side play i've ridden it for around 200 kilometers tightened it but it goes back again..

im not really used to that because i've been using shimano hubs for a long time without that problem.

one of my riding buddy is using kysrium sl too, he said its normal??

  • I have a Ksyrium SL Wheel that only has 150 miles on it and the freehub body already has side to side play. I know these freehubs have a plastic bushing that wears out, there is no way it needs to be replaced???

I disassembled the freehub and reassembled using 6nm to tighten the freehub body, but still have play in the hub. What to do here?

  • @ExcelSportsBoulder the skull cap is boss, don't listen to the hater.
