Peter Green and the [real] ol' Dirty Mac 'at it again' with Need Your Love So Bad. In my opinion this is a better version than the one found on their album The Pious Bird of Good Omen. You can find this song on their Live at the BBC collection which came out in '95; I recommend buying this album if you are an old Fleetwood Mac fan because it consists of songs from 67 to 71 and is some of the best blues I've ever heard. Plus it's the old Fleetwood Mac, it can't get better than that.

All rights belong to Peter Green and of course Fleetwood Mac and Castle Communications for releasing the album.

  • The opening of this song is so powerful, it always immediately takes me back.

The way recorded this- the simplicity behind it- is beyond perfect. The even keel of the band too adds a beautiful effect.

  • This is the reall FWM the version today dont come close Mick Fleetwood and John McVie should end it all by having one last gig with Peter and Jeremy. cause i think Dannys kinda fucked

  • @dirmo77

Hahah, Jeremy last I heard was in a cult so who knows if he'll be down for one last show too, but that's life and music for you.

  • @gotstricks - check out the version of this from 'Shrine 69' if you haven't already....it's the best I've heard....

  • @carcariden

Shrine is one of the best live albums I've ever heard- so no doubt on that.

  • There will never be a more soulful combination of singer/blues guitarist than Peter Green....the one...the only.

  • Played mainly Strats and Les Pauls all my 48 years of playing, and would stake my life on him playing a Les Paul on THIS track.

This is probably my favourite track of all time, and have played and sung it to DEATH !! ))%=)

  • Outstanding!!!

  • Every time I plug a Mac version of this, Green sings and plays it differently, and every time he shows a unique understanding of blues phrasing. Our best bluesman.
