@darroni123 Depends on what you mean by Kung Fu. Over in the west it is used as the name of all Chinese martial arts, so by this definition there is no such thing as Japanese Kung Fu. However, in Chinese it actually means "human achievement" and is used to refer to any skill or accomplishment acquired by long hours of practice, not necessarily fighting. So by this definition, he is doing Japanese fighting Kung Fu.

@weberky If I'm not mistaken I believe the martial art was actually created by a woman named ng mui or something like that and taught to the girl named something wing chun where it got its name.
