In America, about 1 citizens with special needs are significantly debilitated due to serious mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy and related developmental disabilities. They are all qualified for services and support. However in 43 states, 1/3 of these people have nothing while they linger on waiting lists for years. They have no hope for the foreseeable future. How unfair is that? Thomas Jefferson said; The care of human life and their happiness, is the first and only object of good government. In these difficult times every branch of government struggles, However the police and fire departments do not cut off help to 1/3 of the people in their jurisdiction and tell them to wait. Until all services for people with a developmental disability are shared they will be left Behind in the USA. Join our efforts to end this injustice.
