@bitchduty I'm sure this was answered months ago, but if not:
Legend has it if you try and cut the tree down, you end up dead (I'm paraphrasing of course). The township got tired of people trying that, so they put up a fence to stop axes and chainsaws.

Why is there a fence around the Devil's Tree?
There's no probable way for anyone to "enter" said tree.
The idea is simply preposterous.

@BrandaoFilms how do you mean the ferry is gone forever? is it sunk to the bottom of the river? but its half on land.

@roy99669 The top part of the ferry was dismantled maybe 2 years ago. The rest of it still sits at the side of the riverbank though.

Sorry, but one of the rules of Weird NJ hunting is not to tell the addresses of the places. But you can find them online if you look hard enough.
