The Nightingales were formerly Ollie (Hoskins) and the Nightingales formerly The Dixie Nightingales, a gospel group. Tommy Tate joined and took lead duties for a couple of years, when Ollie left, and this was maybe their best record from that time.

I first heard this track on HBO's Treme and I immediately searched and recorded it to my IPhone. This show has showcased many long forgotten or unheard artist. They don't make music like this anymore so I would love to see a Treme soundtrack released, music like this is priceless~
