@laxer94 I agree that OCCUPY wasn't the sort of spark needed to make institutional change happen. But if it did anything, it informed many people about the disturbing growing gap in wealth..and who that money is going to. Downplaying the event as a 'hipster movement' is insulting to the hard-working people who were also there protesting. People who don't necessarily have the money to afford Starbucks everyday or to own Apple products. So, no. OWS wasn't completely useless.
