Purchase this filter at: http://www.filterheads.com/AQ1054

AQ1054
This filter fits 01-09 Acura MDX, Honda Odyssey and Pilot. The model shown in this video is a 2003 Honda Pilot, but installation is similar on the other models.

  • Yeah, Honda made it a lot easier to install their cabin filters now. The 2011 Pilot actually takes the AQ1058 filter, so if anyone wants to see a video of the new installation procedure you can search for "AQ1058" on YouTube.

  • Great video and prices on filters. I just bought one for my Odyssey and one for my Civic.

  • @nickgnelson I'm glad our video could help, thank you for your business!

  • just ordered a filter from u guys. best price i could find. Thanks

  • @ericd334 Thank you for your business!

  • MY two front a/c vents( under the cd player) dont blow out air... but the air vents on the side by the windows do!.... could this be because of the air filter?

  • @damanuluv - no, it's most likely to be a broken linkage or control mechanism that directs the air to the different outlets. A clogged filter would limit the airflow to all vents.

  • Just replaced the cabin filter on my 2011 Pilot - took all of 5 minutes. Seems Honda has fully redesigned the entire filter housing so that all you need to do is open the glove box"(I'd empty it too), and then push the sides of the black plastic interior of the glove box in towards one another to 'unlatch' it from the dash, then let it swing down. This gives you full access to the now horizontal filter tray and latches. Unlatch on either side, pull out tray, replace filter in tray. You're done!

  • @sicomprende not really i work at a lube shop and ive been pulling these cabin filters our for the past 3 years and thats how ive been doing it and it works

  • Excellent Video. Thanks.

  • Thank you very much for a well done video. I found this extremely helpful and informative and it made my job so much easier. For those wondering about the plastic bar, it is there to support the dash board during assembly.

  • Wow your prices are honestly the cheapest!! Cost half as much vs retailers when you buy three!

  • @tkcayc168 The plastic bar is there for a reason. In fact if you cut it, it could cause noise in the cabin. Read my post above to see how you can change the cabin filter in few minutes without cutting the plastic bar. Honda engineers are smarter than this. They wouldn't put a plastic bar there if it was supposed to be cut! It doesn't make sense at all!

  • Actually the plastic bar is there for a reason. According to a dealership mechanic, if you cut it, it could cause vibrations and noise in the cabin. Honda engineers are smarter than this. If it was supposed to be cut, they wouldn't put it in in the first place. Read my post above to see how you can change the cabin filter without cutting this bar or removing the metal bar. It takes only few minutes!
