Konrad Jarusch, a distinguished professor of history and the University of North Carolina, presented the keynote speech at the Legacies of Unification: Twenty Years of Germany Unity conference, held at the University of Washington November 19-20, 2009. The event was hosted by the Center for West European Studies, along with the Department of Germanics, European Union Center of Excellence, Simpson Center for the Humanities, and Indiana University's Center for West European Studies.
