Rejected/Cancelled take-off on the 3rd August 2008 onboard G-WOWC (Dash 8-300) from London Gatwick to Newquay via Plymouth (WOW110). The flight was taking off to take us back to Newquay. If you can't make out what the captain says, its something along the lines of "we had a warning light and must return to the stand". We were then told the aircraft would have to go tech, so G-WOWB was reinstated on the service to cover for G-WOWC. Sorry for the crap quality.. I left my camera behind and had to use my mobile!

  • Good catch there Christian - the weather wasn't good here on that day, so it can't have helped! Flew WOWC back from BRS a few days before your video was taken, all was well then though.

  • Thanks!

  • First rejected take off i've ever seen at EGHD, great video. Well done. Dont suppose anyone was told what the problem was?

  • They didn't go into anymore detail apart from mentioning the fact that there was a warning light.

  • Dash8s and Q400s are good planes. It's SAS' maintenance crew that isn't worth a damn.

  • I'd rather fly on a faulty Canadian aircraft than a splendid French plane anyday...wait, does a splendid French plane even exist? Well, you know what I mean. The ATR is a cow.

Hey, Christian: I wouldn't've known it was a cellphone cam you used, the quality is rather outstanding. And that being the case, can I have your camera? LOL, just kidding. Thanks for the vid.
