WOW!!! This is my Charger!! Sad thing is its no longer black, its a General Lee!! Still based in Northern Ireland. This ad was filmed in Dublin a few years ago when my friend Nick owned the car. Car can be seen on Star Car Hire website. Still has the 'Reservoir Dodge' Sticker in the window!! Always wanted to see this!!
this was filmed in ireland. my friend is the texaco worker in this ad and he told me yesterday it was filmed in ireland and that the st particks day parade was canceled during the filmin.
When it was screened to us for the first time one of the girls form the ad company told us of Harvey's antics.
He point blank refused to wear a seat belt for filming. His reason was his character was a tough guy and as such would not be found wearing one. Of course, had it been submitted for tv viewing it would have been rejected for this fact.
Also, the date of release was Sep 01,and of course a certain event in New York that month put paid to that.
where was this filmed? it looks exactly like this place in ireland. a few years ago they were getting rid of a texaco station in dublin and i remember the area being closed off...hrmmmm...

I worked for Star Texaco at the time of filming.

I've never seen an ad where a company is promoting itself by destroying a small part of itself!
