  • hey man good video..

only thing i would change would be the colour of the container, you would be better off with a solid dark colour so the light cant get to the roots.

i know the plants i grow would suffer especialy with a 600watt hps - roots should never be subjected to anyforms of light as they will be damaged afterall there supposed to be underground

  • @funkysnair no need to change anything heat is a bigger enemy than light for roots and roots are not harmed by a little light at all. why would anyone run a 600 watt light and this small of a tote? makes no sense at all. please check my other vids of me growing IN THIS VERY SAME TOTE WITH NO ISSUES AT ALL

  • great video... ive got a few questions if you could please answer i have a toat like that five gal. but its clear red will that effect the roots at all ... and for the filler i used some stones that i bought from lowes will that do or should i change them out thanks

  • @MaJahBlak well because my other plants require this amount of lght? i was thinking of throwing something like this in along side them to grow other plants...

i suppose in different light conditions it would be fine but wont be for mine although a black container would be ideal.

  • I saw this one set up of where a guy had fish and underwater plants growing under the plants . He said it worked out because the fish and plant exchange CO2 and oxygen . I think he had an air pump . It was cool

  • ive built cloners out of plastic coffee containers with a single fish tank airstone.lol you can use epoxy like jb weld to hold the stone directly under the plant roots. ive had a 80% success rate with cuttings in my coffee container cloner! i took the idea from you but scaled it way down. thanks man! what do you think about the neoprene plugs for cuttings in hydro? i have made a few and i like them better than the net pots

  • awesome vid, i learned a ton from this one. best instructional vid ive ever seen on hydroponics, thanks. only thing i am wondering now is how u get tha nutrients to tha plants, and maybe maintenance. Do u gotta use a specific formula of nutrients?
