Classic Hymn, Just A Closer Walk With Thee, sung by Billy Pollard, Strolling Down Memory Lane, Willie & Billy Pollard's Country Gospel TV Program, Featuring Old Songs and Hymns, willieandbilly@yahoo.com , http://billyandwillie.tripod.com
God bless all His faithful servants. I've listened to other more well-known singers' renditions which may be polished (even professional), but I rejoice at the simplicity and sincerity of this dear brother. It causes me to love the LORD so much the more. That it is in response to a request from a viewer reveals Billy's servant heart. To God be the glory.
You go BIlly, the LORD is pleased with your offering and that is all that matters, thank for posting. You remind me of one of my Mentors who has graduated to be with the LORD now. Bro Jose Zamora loved to sing and he would not have won "American Idol" but his love for CHRIST shined through when he played his guitar or piano and got us all to sing with him. I miss him but I'm sure I will see him around the big table with all the heroes of the faith "When we all get to heaven".
@sandbar3000 you may have a point and I am sorry if I caused any offence. I hope I do live into my 90's to find out if my voice survives but I guess that would be the least of my worries
@jhill74893, remember, you will get to live just as long as this man or longer. I'm sure your voice will not be a good as it is now when you reach your 80s or 90s - that is - if God chooses to let you live that long. May be when you are in your 80s, you'd understand
@jhill74893, I wonder if Christ is saying 'This man does not sing too well". Praise the Lord for this man willing to tape himself singing even though he may have never had a singing lesson in his life!
@sandbar3000 I love this classic hymn, but the gentleman doesnt sing it too well, he may be praising God with all his heart and I am glad to leave him praising, but he is no singer. I however, will be rejoicing when I listen to another version
@jhill74893, you are not God. Let him praise Jesus!!!!! he sounds soooo good to God and this is pleasing to God. Make a joyful noise to the Lord. Would to God that all men know and understand what it means to make a joyful noise to the Lord. You seem to be complaining since you are not rejoicing like this man.
beautiful.
