very evocative of vangelis, nice programming and playing!

Good but extremely limited. You would be better off get a DX7 MK2 it can do all these sounds and sounds even a CS80 couldnt dream of. If you think I am talking hot air check out my demo TIME TRAVELLER in February. And you will hear a DX7 MK2 like you never have.

Nice!

Is the whole Keyboard shaking to trigger the Aftertouch?? Wow...Ive never seen that. Nice Demo. You can really hear the later great CS Series.

Ha, I sold my MS20 for 1500 $ and got my SY2 for680 $. And it got a more aggresive filter than the ms20

The CS-80 makes my wallet fit impossibly thin, thank you :)
These older analog sound circuits will become popular again. Don't know what it should sell for. Many great paintings are lost in attics. Electronic circuits are not much different than the paint from the artist.

@gavincurtis I got offered a SY2 to trade against my MS20, but I think, I will miss the flexability of the Korg, otherwise, the MS20 is always avaiable, the SY2 appears extrem rarely...

This sort of phat analog sound is going to make a comeback.

This was one of the first keyboards to feature aftertouch sensitivity, and if you look carefully on the video you can see how the aftertouch works: The keyboard itself floats on a rack which contains a potentiometer. Applying pressure to the keyboard operates this potentiometer.

I think term keyboard might have been coined in the 80's, when Casio and Yamaha flooded the market with consumer home keyboard instruments with auto rhythms and preset sounds. I'd say that a synthesizer definitely allows for shaping the sounds to your own liking, as opposed to having preset sounds only. Synthesizers are usually geared towards professionals, who need more control over the sound, whereas keyboards that don't allow sound editing, are gearted more towards amateurs.
This is AWESOME, sound just like Vangelis, are these hard to get today?, it looks like this are the cheap way to somewhat the same sound as an CS-80, so me want one badly

Thanks....
They pop up every so often. They are still pretty rare- but definitely cheaper, (and lighter!) than the CS 80.

is that reverb already in the keyboard or is it going through a filter

The SY-2 is going through external reverb and delay. Thanks!
