I had a 1930's theme party for my birthday this year, and everytime I went searching on the web to learn how to do fingerwaves, I couldn't find anything useful... I forgot to mention in the video that in order to save time, my hair is wet and already saturated (and I mean SATURATED) with the gel... p.s. I also sing. Here is me singing with my friend Katie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWOyEa0Xc5w

  • No, you put the gel in before you start the whole process! I did it before I filmed to save time!! And thank you for the compliment!!

  • I'd like to add that diffrent clips work better for different hair types. Its more personal preference. And btw, your video actually helped me more than my cosmetoogy instructor did!

  • thanks for this, i tried it and it ended up great! i've linked your video to show them how i did it. great tutorial!

  • this looks great, I am going to test :) Should the hair be wet or dry?

  • @Packard034 I had a short bob with a straight fringe ending just under my eyebrows and had finger waves put in my hair for a show. The hair stylists managed to incorporate my fringe into it by taking a side parting and having one of the waves go across my forehead and ending at the side. I think they just wet & jelled it & tucked the blunts ends in as they went along, but you'd have to leave that part set - not try to rough it up with a brush.

  • ;) nice

  • I have the SAME GEL!!! This is DESTINY!!!!

  • I'm wondering if anyone has tried this with bangs... I have a short bob with bangs and am on the fence about buying a wig! thx

  • great video:) i love how comfortable you are in front of the camera, in other videos it can go kind of quiet and awkward:P

  • great video, will def try this tomorrow!!!!
