  • He has a PHD in nutritional ethnomedicine, I think that qualifies him more then others who know nothing about health...

  • Dr. Savage is correct in that cardiovascular abuse like this to your body every day will take an unhealthy toll on you.

The best thing a person can do is weight train with moderate running, after all, it is much easier for the body to hold onto its strength than it is for the body to hold onto endurance

  • wow rickyg how stereotypiccal of you. have a nice day and go fuck yourself =].

  • this is so true. statistically, people who weight lift live longer than marathoners. I think sprinting or running really fast temporarily isn't that bad though, because it's anaerobic and not aerobic. I think it's aerobic workouts that burns out your adrenal glands and stuff

  • we could all learn from Dr. Savage, out of Michael Savage, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Savage is the healthiest radio show host over 50. Savage is the oldest of the three, and never had any health problems. Never had a heart attack like Levin.

  • Jesus I love running, this has me a little bit freaked.

  • I would have thought this was common knowledge by now.

I can recall watching a documentary as a kid where it was pointed out that the intense physical activity engaged in by wild cats reduced their expected lifespan. Apparently they seem slothful because they go out and wear themselves out hunting, then sleep the rest of the day. Then again there's an entire industry built around excercise, so that kind of knowledge is probably bad for business.

  • @snakeyes37 appeal to authority...of course.

  • ...is this satirical? i honestly cant tell if he's serious? That seems a bit extreme to never elevate your heart rate... I'm a swimmer and I push my self extremely hard every day in the pool, I feel great!

  • Funny as hell- and right.

  • Savage makes a good point. I think we're overly obsessed with "being the best" and pushing ourselves to the limit.

I don't think cars and boats make the best comparisons to human beings. A car can sit in a garage for months looking shiny and new. Try sitting on your couch for months and see what you get. BED SORES and FLAB!

The question is, is this Savage's way of kissing Limbaugh's ass over his bonehead "don't exercise" statement? PUCKER UP, SAVAGE-BABY! LIMBAUGH'S BENDIN' OVER FOR YAH!

  • hey slushhhpuppie ..... willing to bet you there are more liberal Ph.Ds than inbred hillbilly repukes ....

Savage is a racist. He spreads hatred, and is better of dead

  • Yeah...I'm a very lazy excersiser...I work out whenever...just weight training...Sometimes it takes me so long to get back into weight lifting that my body gets sore as if it were my first time...But I always come back for more...I also bike ride on occastions...But I don't want to lose too much weight...And I think thats all the human body needs a balance...
