whats really delicious about bean pies for me is the nut meg, Cinnamon and bean combo. i use egg beaters to cut down on the cholesterol and calorie free spray butter instead of margarine.

@OpenEyesProdTv Thanks for the kind words. I've heard much about the origins of bean pies and understand them to come from the east much earlier than the NOI movement. Despite the lack of concrete evidence as to time or place, the bean pie is a tasty dessert that I've enjoyed for at least 20 years now (and plan to continue enjoying!).
