  • Fortunately, I am not an expert (like some of the posters appear to think they are), so I thoroughly enjoyed it! Bravo!

  • Great performance. I like her face expression during play.

  • Blandine Rannou! Ascoltate la sua esecuzione delle Suite Francesi di Bach! Meraviglioso!

  • Sounds exactly like a Hanon piano exercise. Baroque keyboard music MUST have rubato, phrasing and not just playing a bunch of 16th notes perptuo motiones. Too many people who consider themselves "experts" at playing Baroque keyboard music, play it just the same way it had been done for the last 100 years. Early fingering would also be important in achieving the proper musical effect. Otherwise, it just sounds like what I call "sewing machine" music.

    Very good observation indeed..well said.

  • From the first note forward it has a quality of being already baked... and lacking that necessary quality of spontaneity, it feels like we the audience are totally unnecessary. Sadly, before Ms. Rannou was born & since, all clavecinistes played it just this way. The Asperen recording posted by Gravicembalo is admittedly only 1 in a billion ways to play this... but it is decidedly less canned, more alive, and gives breath to the gestures which here are ironed out into 1 long artificial line..

  • Superbe, merci pour les Toccata (et le reste)

  • Awesome. I have been playing piano since 2002 and I have never been granted the pleasure of playing on a harpsichord. BEAUTIFUL.

  • J'aime pas du tout. Son jeu est plat...

Mais j'adore son clavecin. Y a rien de plus beau..
