wow, sounds like bird shit

The chord is an E7#9 that Stevie used
-
@sysphus13 I would call that an "Open position Em7/B"
-
@sysphus13 It's actually an "Open position Em7/B"
-
@barneykenny123 , yea, in the live vids you can hear that B on the high E string, and thedonace213 is right...he removes the third and adds the fifth in the top, but it's still the same chord, an E7sharp9. I did see one vid though where he played x7678x

He's right, it's O7x787. search Stevie Ray Vaughan Guitar Lesson and go to 6:15. plain as day.

@barneykenny123 I know but look at some of his Live videos (Live In New Orleans) and some others too you'll notice he does that chord. I mean it's just another variation of that E I notice more of a difference between that chord and the Hendrix chord when you have like a little leslie effect on (which I think stevie uses in that song)
from the live videos stevie seems to play 07x787 tuned to Eb of course not the 'Hendrix chord' I played it like you for a while but when I saw a few live vids I noticed he played that chord that I just mentioned

@thedonace213 Really ? That sounds like a really random chord when stevie was such a big user of this chord ? ^^
