@finisher3x look at how tall those skyscrapers are and the wave just dwarfs those but the kids on the motorbike just ride up a gentle incline and escape? They'd have had to gone up a cliff almost straight up to get high enough to get away from that wave cause they weren't that far inland from the ocean
